The Challenge: To maintain the essence of a great wine in every bottle
With a production geared towards the high end of the market and distribution in more than 140 countries, Bodegas Faustino faces a constant challenge: to guarantee that each bottle that leaves its facilities retains intact the qualities that have made it iconic.
One of the critical aspects in wine bottling is oxidisation, a process that can alter the characteristics of the product and compromise its long-term stability. Furthermore, in such a competitive market, operational efficiency is key: reducing format changeover times, optimising cleaning processes and guaranteeing smooth production are determining factors in the profitability and sustainability of the business
With these objectives in mind, Faustino was looking for a solution that would allow it to:

The Solution: Cutting-edge technology at the service of wine
To meet these needs, Irundin implemented three of its NON-STOP technologies in the Bodegas Faustino bottling line:
1. O² Control Technology: Total protection against oxidation
Oxygen is one of the main enemies of wine during bottling. To avoid its impact, Irundin incorporated its advanced inertisation system, which introduces nitrogen into the bottle before filling. This process displaces the oxygen present and guarantees that the wine only comes into contact with an inert environment, preserving its quality, aroma and structure until the moment of consumption.
2. QUICKCHANGE Technology: Agility in format changeover
Given Faustino's broad product portfolio, it was essential to have a solution that would allow for quick changes between different bottle formats. Thanks to QUICKCHANGE Technology, based on universal starwheels, the changeover process is now more agile and precise, resulting in greater flexibility and efficiency in production.
3. CLEANFLOW PRO Technology: Maximum efficiency in cleaning and sanitisation
Hygiene is a critical aspect in any bottling line. With the integration of CLEANFLOW PRO Technology, Faustino now has an automated cleaning system that optimises the use of resources and guarantees a faster and more efficient sanitisation process, without compromising the safety or quality of the final product.
